Child Care Centre building continues: The people of the St James' Vicarage and the Kindergarten continue to be much inconvenienced by the on-going works in and around St James' House. These photos were taken on Tuesday June 21 soon after the pouring of concrete for the western extension to the building. These pictures show the men at work and the mess and muddiness of the churchyard. But as they say - one must crack eggs to make an omelette!
On-going building works
These photographs record the on-going building works in and around St James' House and the Vicarage. The new Churchyard Laneway
runs parallel to the boundary fence of our Alexandra Street neighbours. It then continues past the Vicarage to the garage and the nearby
area soon to be torn-up to create parking for 21 cars. As you can see, St James' House has been internally gutted with its western side
in preparation for the required extension to the building. Apparently at this point, works are thankfully running to schedule, however the
occupants of the Vicarage and the Kindergarten continue to be mightily inconvenienced - but good grace prevails, as it's all in a good cause...
