Jesus said, “Come follow Me”

“Parents have the first responsibility for the education of their children in faith, prayer, and all other virtues. They have the duty to provide as far as possible for the physical and spiritual needs of their children.” Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2252

So it goes without saying that parents should be encouraged to come to mass with their children.

However, at the same time our parish churches and schools have always had a significant role in assisting parents with the provision of catechetical instruction for the children of the Faithful to help nurture their love for God and his Son Jesus our Lord.

Children’s Church is a part of that work and ministry here at St James the Great. You and your children are warmly invited to join us at all the Liturgical events where the children will have a special role in the midst of God’s people. The Children’s Eucharist, with the bring-and-share lunch that follows, is a special part of our catechesis here at St James the Great.  For further details, please contact Father Richard or the Link-parents on the phone numbers in this brochure.
